Odikro Urges Peace and Forgiveness After Ablekuma North Incident

The Odikro of Gomoa Bantama Millennium City of the Central Region, Nana Kwesi Amoani I, has called for peace and forgiveness in the aftermath of the Ablekuma North incident, where former MP for Awutu Senya East, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson, was assaulted during the re-run elections.

Speaking to the media, Nana Amoani I emphasized the importance of forgiveness, stating that Ghanaians are one family and should treat each other with kindness and respect.

He appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to prioritize peace in Ghana, highlighting that the country’s stability is paramount.

Nana Amoani I noted that anyone who commits a crime will be arrested and dealt with according to the law, regardless of their status.

Looking ahead to upcoming elections in Akwatia, the Odikro urged Ghanaians to learn from the Ablekuma North incident and avoid violence.

He appealed to President Mahama, known for his calm demeanor, to ensure peace prevails in Akwatia Constituency.

Nana Amoani I encouraged the youth, especially politicians, to refrain from violence and instead promote unity and forgiveness.

He also called on the government to hold perpetrators of election violence accountable and punish them accordingly.
