A/R LACK OF FURNITURE FORCES STUDENTS TO SIT ON BARE FLOOR TO STUDY.

Some classes of Kumpese/ Akwasiso D/ A primary and JHS are seriously battling a lack of furniture, and classroom block, with students being forced to sit on bare floor to study.


According to report by fox FM reporter Ekuoba Gyasi, the K G 1 class is one of the most affected class with over 150 kids in a class.

The report further suggest that other class are also without furniture while some of the classes have few furniture.

Ekuoba Gyasi further reported with pictures of 4 students managing a desk meant for only two students.

This has left some students with no other option than to sit on floor during class lessons while others prefer not to attend classes at a result of the lack of desks in their classrooms.

The Assembly member for Kumpese a community in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region Hon.Ebenezer Owusu when contacted explained that , several letters was sent to the district assembly including the member of Parliament for the area but nothing has been done to avert the situation.

The Assembly member is therefore called on philanthropist , Non governmental Organizations (NGOs) including individuals who are willing to support them to come to their aid.
