Hon. Benjamin Marfo Secures 100% Endorsement as Amansie South DCE, Pledges to Champion Development and Unity

In a resounding demonstration of trust and solidarity, Hon. Benjamin Marfo has been unanimously confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Amansie South District. His nomination, made by the President, received a full endorsement from all 37 Assembly Members in a vote conducted on Monday under the supervision of the Electoral Commission.

Despite one ballot being rejected, the outcome reflected a 100% approval rate—an emphatic vote of confidence from the Assembly Members and local leadership.

The confirmation ceremony, held at the Manso Adubia District Assembly Hall, drew a large gathering, including traditional leaders, departmental heads, political party executives, and community members. District Electoral Officer, Mr. Eric Anane, officially declared Hon. Marfo as the duly confirmed DCE.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Marfo expressed profound gratitude to the Assembly Members and the people of Amansie South for the honor bestowed upon him. He pledged to lead with integrity, transparency, and inclusiveness in his quest to accelerate development across the district.

“I am deeply honored by this overwhelming endorsement. It is a clear message that the people of Amansie South are ready for progress. I will work with all stakeholders, regardless of political affiliation, to bring development, improve education, healthcare, and infrastructure,” he affirmed.

A seasoned classroom teacher and dedicated educator, Hon. Marfo emphasized his commitment to unity and community-centered leadership. He revealed that improving the quality of life in all communities across the district would be among his top priorities.

His confirmation has been widely welcomed by residents, who expressed optimism about the district’s future under his leadership.

“We are happy with this endorsement. Hon. Marfo is a humble and hardworking man. We believe he will bring the change we have long waited for—good roads, better schools, and job opportunities,” a resident stated.

In a symbolic gesture of encouragement, Nana Oppong Mensah Abrampa, Sompahene of the Manso Nkwatan Traditional Area, advised the new DCE to remain accessible to the people by keeping his phone lines open and not adopting the distant attitude of some public officials.

Hon. Marfo’s unanimous confirmation marks a new chapter for the Amansie South District, with high hopes for inclusive development, responsive leadership, and sustained unity.
