Hon. Benjamin Marfo Thanks President Mahama, Pledges Dedicated Service to Amansie South
The District Chief Executive (DCE) nominee for Amansie South, Hon. Benjamin Marfo, has warmly thanked the President of the Republic, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, for nominating him to lead the district, describing the appointment as a “call to duty and service.”
Addressing the media shortly after the announcement, Hon. Marfo said he was humbled by the President’s trust in him and promised to justify the confidence by working diligently to transform Amansie South into a beacon of development.
“I am deeply honored by this nomination. I thank His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for believing in my capabilities. I am fully committed to serving the people of Amansie South with integrity, humility, and hard work,” he stated.
Hon. Marfo called for unity among all stakeholders — from traditional leaders and assembly members to youth groups and development partners — to accelerate the district’s growth. He stressed that his administration would be open, transparent, and inclusive.
“My doors will always be open. It is only through teamwork and unity that we can overcome the challenges facing our district and bring about meaningful change,” he added.
He outlined his vision for the district, focusing on improving road infrastructure, enhancing education and healthcare services, supporting farmers and local businesses, and promoting youth employment through skill development initiatives.
Many residents, chiefs, and political figures across Amansie South have welcomed his nomination with enthusiasm, citing his long-standing commitment to community development and grassroots mobilization.
The Assembly is expected to convene soon for the confirmation vote, and sources close to the Assembly indicate that Hon. Marfo enjoys strong support among the members.
