On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, Hon. Ernest Anim, Member of Parliament for Kumawu Constituency, proudly represented Ghana at the Young MPs Program, a flagship event of the 2025 Spring Meetings hosted by the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The high-level program brought together a select group of emerging legislators from around the world to exchange ideas and solutions on critical global issues. Discussions centered around job creation, social protection systems, youth empowerment, conflict prevention, and strategies for inclusive economic growth.
Hon. Anim actively participated in the roundtables, sharing insights from Ghana’s experience while also learning from peers tackling similar challenges in their home countries.“This platform was a powerful reminder that young leaders across the world share a common mission—to create fairer, more sustainable futures for our people,” said Hon. Anim. “I’m inspired by the collective energy and determination I witnessed among my fellow lawmakers.”
The Young MPs Program aims to empower the next generation of political leaders to craft effective policies that drive transformation. For Hon. Anim, the event also served as an opportunity to build strategic networks and bring global best practices home to Kumawu and Ghana at large.
Beyond policy dialogue, the program emphasized the role of young parliamentarians in bridging gaps between governments and citizens, particularly in rapidly evolving political and economic landscapes.
As Ghana continues its journey toward inclusive development, Hon. Anim’s participation affirms his commitment to championing youth development, social equity, and long-term peace through proactive leadership on both the national and international stages.
