Banahene Specialist Hospital Reaches Hearts and Homes with Easter Medical Outreach in Lashibi and Afienya

This Easter, Banahene Specialist Hospital turned compassion into action by organizing a Free Medical Screening and NHIS Registration drive for residents of Lashibi and Afienya. The outreach, led by the hospital’s Community Service and Medical Outreach team, brought critical health services directly to the people, focusing on early detection and awareness of silent killers like hypertension and diabetes.

The initiative forms a vital part of Banahene’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) mission—to make healthcare more accessible, raise awareness on preventable diseases, and promote healthy living across communities.

Residents showed up in large numbers, with many receiving first-time diagnoses and advice on managing chronic conditions. Participants were especially grateful for the convenience of on-site NHIS registration, removing a significant barrier to long-term care.“This is more than just a medical outreach. It’s a blessing,” said one resident. “Some of us haven’t had a check-up in years. Banahene has brought healthcare to our doorstep.”

The success of the outreach was also made possible by the warm collaboration with local churches. Special appreciation goes to the lead pastors at Action Chapel International – Hosanna Chapel in Lashibi, and True Word Life Church in Afienya, whose support helped mobilize their communities and host the events seamlessly.

Banahene Specialist Hospital continues to lead by example, not only delivering expert care within its walls but stepping out into communities to meet people where they are—with kindness, professionalism, and purpose.

Bringing health. Building hope. Spreading care.
This Easter, Banahene showed what it truly means to care.
