Easter Blessings: Blue Fusion Clears Hospital Bills for 17 Mothers Across Ghana

In a powerful display of empathy and community spirit, Blue Fusion, the women’s forum of Stanbic Bank Ghana, stepped in to make Easter brighter for 17 new mothers by paying off their delivery and discharge bills at three major hospitals in Ghana.
The initiative saw donations directed to Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and Weija-Gbawe Municipal Hospital in Accra, as well as Kwesimintsim Hospital in Takoradi. These funds enabled the safe discharge of mothers who had remained in hospital due to financial constraints, giving them the chance to return home and celebrate Easter with their families.
Margaret Obimpeh, Chairperson of Blue Fusion and Head of Affluent Clients at Stanbic Bank, spoke passionately about the motivation behind the gesture:“Easter is a time of renewal, joy, and togetherness. At Stanbic, we believe no mother should be separated from her family because of financial barriers. This small act is about restoring dignity and creating joyful memories for these women.”
The impact of the donation was deeply felt. Hospital staff shared stories of mothers who had gone days without seeing their newborns due to delayed discharge. Thanks to Blue Fusion, these stories now have joyful endings.
More than a donation, this was a message of hope—one that reflects Stanbic’s ongoing dedication to making a real difference in the lives of everyday Ghanaians.
Touching lives. Reuniting families. Empowering women.
That’s the spirit of #BlueFusion and the heart of #StanbicCares.
