Rev. Professor Charles Ansah, the Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has organized a free healthcare and screening initiative for the residents of Kotei in the Oforikrom Constituency of the Ashanti region.
Speaking with the media, the Presbyterian Minister explained that the gesture was part of his efforts to contribute to the wellbeing of the community where he has lived for his entire life. He emphasized the importance of health, noting that the well-being of every individual is paramount. “It is crucial to seek healthcare regularly and not wait until one is seriously ill,” he said.
Over one hundred (100) residents of Kotei benefited from the free healthcare services. The screenings included checks for blood pressure, malaria, and other communicable diseases. The initiative was aimed at ensuring the people are in good health, enabling them to go about their daily business without hindrance.
Rev. Professor Ansah further advised Ghanaians to make regular checkups a part of their routine. He stressed that proactive healthcare is essential in preventing serious illnesses, thus allowing individuals to continue supporting their families and communities.
This community-focused effort highlights the Presbyterian Church’s ongoing commitment to social welfare and the health of Ghanaians, especially in underserved areas.
