True Faith Church International Edwinase HillTop Feeds 150 Inmates and Shares God’s Word at Kumasi Central Prison

True Faith Church International Edwinase HillTop, located in the Kwadaso municipality of the Ashanti Region, recently brought a message of hope and compassion to 150 inmates at the Kumasi Central Prison. Led by Odiifo Daniel Agyare, alongside Odiifo Benjamin Owusu and Madam Mary Konadu, the church’s outreach focused on offering both physical nourishment and spiritual encouragement to those incarcerated.

The outreach event served as both a humanitarian effort and a spiritual revival, where the team provided meals to the inmates while also sharing prayers, worship, and motivational messages. The aim was to remind the prisoners that, despite their current situation, they are loved and valued by God. The visit sought to uplift their spirits, showing them that they are not forgotten, no matter their circumstances.

Odiifo Daniel Agyare spoke about the purpose of the visit, saying, “Our mission is not just about feeding the body; it’s about feeding the soul. Many of these inmates feel abandoned and hopeless. We want them to know that God’s love is ever-present and they are never out of His reach.”

The initiative was made possible by the collective efforts of Odiifo Benjamin Owusu and Madam Mary Konadu, who worked tirelessly to ensure that the program went smoothly and that the inmates felt cared for both physically and emotionally. Their contributions, alongside the prayers and encouraging words shared with the prisoners, played a key role in fostering a positive atmosphere during the event.

Preaching the word of God to the hundreds of inmates, Odiifo Daniel Agyare urged them to take Jesus Christ as their personal savior. He encouraged them by saying, “All is not lost. Learn from Joseph’s temptations, which led him to prison. Life in prison is not an accident; it’s a lesson.” His words were meant to inspire the prisoners to reflect on their situation and find purpose in their challenges.

After the sermon, some inmates shared their stories, confessing the reasons behind their imprisonment and what they have learned from their time in prison. This moment of reflection helped foster a sense of accountability and spiritual growth among the inmates.

Rev. Mrs. Stella Ama Anku Katso, the Ashanti Regional Prisons Chaplain and founder of the Amenuve Outreach Ministry, expressed her gratitude for the church’s outreach, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in the rehabilitation of inmates. “This visit is a great encouragement to the prisoners. It reminds them that they are not alone and that they are worthy of love and support. Such acts of kindness have a significant impact on their emotional well-being and rehabilitation,” she said.

Rev. Mrs. Stella Ama Anku Katso also used the opportunity to urge the church to adopt a 28-year-old inmate who is set to serve 12 years of imprisonment. She emphasized the importance of supporting him in prayers and helping him further his education to the tertiary level or acquire skills training that could lead to his success and personal development in the future.

The visit was met with heartfelt gratitude from the inmates, many of whom expressed their appreciation for both the meals and the spiritual support. Some inmates even requested further prayers and guidance to continue their faith journeys while serving their sentences.

In conclusion, the outreach by True Faith Church International Edwinase HillTop was not just a charitable act but a testament to the power of faith, kindness, and community. The event provided both physical sustenance and spiritual renewal, showing the inmates that they are loved and valued by God, offering them a sense of hope and a reminder of their worth, regardless of their current circumstances.
