Chairman Yaw Obimpe has been elected as the Ashanti Regional representative for the Council of State. He secured victory with 49 out of 85 votes cast, defeating Nana Nkansa Boadu Ayeboafo, who garnered 36 votes.
One elector was absent from the voting process.
