Drivers Urged to Prioritize Safety to Reduce Road Accidents

Mr. David Bunya, popularly known as Road Safety, has urged drivers to adhere to all road safety measures to help reduce accidents on Ghana’s roads.

Mr. Bunya, who is currently under contract with the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), described the increasing number of road accident fatalities as alarming and called for concerted efforts to address the issue.

“It is unacceptable for us to keep losing precious lives due to road accidents. Road safety is a shared responsibility involving drivers, pedestrians, and all road users. Drivers must avoid drinking and driving, refrain from using mobile phones while driving, and ensure they are in good health before getting behind the wheel,” he emphasized.

Despite his dedication to road safety advocacy, Mr. Bunya highlighted the challenges he faces, including the lack of reliable transportation. He, therefore, appealed to individuals, NGOs, philanthropists, and the government to support him with a motorcycle to facilitate his work.
