The newly appointed Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace to formally introduce himself and seek the Asantehene’s guidance as he assumes office.
Accompanied by key officials, the Minister expressed his gratitude to Otumfuo for his leadership and continuous support for the Ashanti Region’s development. He assured the Asantehene of his commitment to working diligently to address the region’s pressing challenges and advance key development projects.
Hon. Dr. Amoakohene outlined his vision, focusing on economic transformation, infrastructure improvement, education, health, and job creation. He pledged to collaborate closely with traditional leaders, local government institutions, and stakeholders to ensure policies and programs align with the needs of the people.
Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, in his remarks, welcomed the Minister and urged him to uphold transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance in his leadership. He emphasized the importance of maintaining strong ties between government and the chieftaincy institution to foster peace and sustainable development in the region.
The visit marks a significant step in strengthening partnerships between the government and traditional authorities as efforts continue to propel the Ashanti Region forward.
