Chief of Manso Essuowin Commissions Essuowin Methodist Junior High School, Donates Computers and Printers, Promises to Establish Senior High School

The Chief of Manso Essuowin, Nana Akyena Kwagyan Nuamah V, has officially commissioned the newly improved Essuowin Methodist Junior High School in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region. The commissioning ceremony marked a significant milestone for the school and the surrounding community as the Chief reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education in the area.

As part of the event, Nana Akyena Kwagyan Nuamah V made a generous donation of 11 computers and two printers to the school, aimed at improving the institution’s technological infrastructure. This donation will play a pivotal role in enhancing the educational resources available to the students, ensuring that they are well-equipped to succeed in the digital age.

The Chief also responded positively to a longstanding appeal from the school community for the establishment of a Senior High School in Essuowin. In his address, Nana Akyena Kwagyan Nuamah assured the gathering that he would work tirelessly to make this vision a reality, underscoring his commitment to promoting educational development in the region. He urged his people to join hands on desk to support the development of the Essuowin community.

He used the occasion to thank Mr. Andrews Appiah, Eric Frimpong (known as Alhaji), and Mr. Akwasi Agyemang (popularly known as Man Man) for their numerous developmental projects in the community.

In her welcome address at the colorful ceremony, the Headmistress of Essuowin Methodist Primary School, Mrs. Barbara Boakyewaa Mensah, expressed profound gratitude to the Chief for his continued support of the school. She also took the opportunity to recognize the significant contributions made by the school’s past students in helping to sustain and improve the school.

Mrs. Mensah also extended her thanks to key individuals such as Mr. Andrews Appiah, Mr. Eric Frimpong (Alhaji), and Mr. Akwasi Agyemang (Man Man), who have been instrumental in supporting the school’s growth through their philanthropic efforts.

The commissioning of the school, alongside the donation of computers and printers, represents a crucial step in improving the quality of education in the community. Members of the local community, including education officials, expressed their appreciation for the Chief’s leadership and his ongoing support for the betterment of education in the district.

On his part, Assembly Member Hon. Richard K. Achina, of the Essuowin Electoral Area, also voiced his support for the community’s development. He stated that the development of the Essuowin electoral area is one of his top priorities. He shared that he had already initiated major development projects for the community even before becoming Assembly Member. Hon. Achina also assured the community that he and his unit committee members would continue to do their best to promote development in the Essuowin electoral area.
