A renowned media practitioner, philanthropist, and Chief Executive Officer of Centenarian Peak Foundation, Miss Anita Frimpong, has made a significant contribution to the people of Kenyasi by donating food items and clothes to over 200 widows in the community. The charitable event, which took place in celebration of the New Year, was aimed at supporting widows who face many challenges following the loss of their husbands.
The donation included rice, cooking oil, and mackerel, essential foodstuffs to help improve the daily lives of the beneficiaries. Each widow received a package containing these items, ensuring they could start the new year with some relief and hope.
Miss Frimpong explained that the donation was part of her initiative to give back to society and to show appreciation for the people of Kenyasi, who have played a significant role in the growth and development of the Centenarian Peak Foundation. She emphasized that the New Year is a perfect time to express love and solidarity with one another, especially towards those who may be going through difficult circumstances.
“The donation is not only a gesture of goodwill but a reflection of the importance of showing love and support to those who need it most. Widows often face immense challenges after the loss of their husbands, and it is our responsibility to stand by them,” Miss Frimpong said. The event was graced by the presence of Nana Yaw Konadu, Kenyasi Ankobeahene, who represented the Berimah Fredua Agyeman, the Kenyasihene. Nana Yaw Konadu also expressed gratitude for the support given to the people of Kenyasi and reaffirmed the Traditional Council’s openness to collaborate with various organizations and foundations in future initiatives.
