The Ghana Post Company Limited has commenced the renovation of the “metal container”; which serves as a Post Office at the Railway Station in Kumasi.
The Post Office ceased to operate due to a fully loaded DAF vehicle with registration number GT 327-23 running into it on July 6, 2023.
As a result of the extensive damages caused to it, operations of the post ceased, to enable the company to assess the damages as well as plan for its renovation without further delay in order to serve its clients in the area.
Mr. Johnson Asante, Ashanti Regional Director in-charge of the Northern Sector, Ghana Post disclosed that the new office would be furnished with ultra-modern technology to serve the needs of their customers.
According to Mr. Asante, the post will be re-open on Monday, December 23, 2024, offering Business Mail Service, MoneyGram Money Transfer, EMS Ghana Expedited Mail Service, Ria Money Transfer, Western Union Money Transfer and Parcel Service. END.
