Amansie South District Assembly Unveils Ultra-Modern KG Block at Nkontene-Nnanyinaa Ns3, Paving the Way for Educational Growth”

The Amansie South District Assembly, with support from the Minerals Development Fund, has officially commissioned a state-of-the-art Kindergarten (KG) block at Nkontene-Nnanyinaa Ns3 (All Days Are Not Equal), marking a significant milestone in the district’s educational development. The new facility aims to improve early childhood education, providing a safe and accessible environment for young learners in the community.

The facility, which includes a 2-unit kindergarten block with an office, store room, and a two-seater water closet (WC) toilet facility, is designed to accommodate the growing number of children in the area. This new addition is expected to ease the long-standing challenge of children having to travel long distances to attend school, particularly in Agroyesum.

During the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Clement Opoku Gyamfi, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Amansie South, highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to enhancing the education sector, especially in rural areas. He expressed gratitude to the local residents for their continuous support and encouraged them to take responsibility for the maintenance of the facility. “The NPP government is committed to providing quality education, and today’s commissioning is proof of our efforts. This ultra-modern KG block will provide our children with the opportunity to receive the best start in life,” said Hon. Opoku Gyamfi.

He also emphasized the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring the success of the project. “It is essential that we all work together to make sure that this facility serves its intended purpose for many years to come,” he added.

Nana Owoahene Acheampong, the Chief of Nkontene-Nnanyinaa Ns3, expressed deep appreciation to the district assembly and the government for the timely intervention. He noted that the new KG block would significantly reduce the distance children previously had to walk to attend school in Agroyesum. “This is a great blessing for our community. Our children will no longer have to endure long walks to receive an education,” said Nana Acheampong.

In addition, the Chief pledged his support for future expansion by offering a large parcel of land for additional projects. “I am providing land for future educational developments, including additional classrooms, to ensure that this facility grows and meets the needs of our community,” he shared.

Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo, Member of Parliament for Manso Adubia, also expressed his full support for the new KG block and the overall educational progress in the region. “The completion of this project is just the beginning of our efforts to improve education in Nkontene-Nnanyinaa Ns3,” he said. “I will continue to work closely with the district assembly to build additional classrooms and educational facilities in the district.”

He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the community receives the necessary infrastructure to support the development of its children. “Education is the foundation of our children’s future, and I will do everything in my power to ensure that Nkontene-Nnanyinaa Ns3 and the Amansie South district have access to top-quality educational resources,” he added.


The commissioning of the new KG block has generated excitement and optimism among the residents of Nkontene-Nnanyinaa Ns3. Local parents and leaders expressed their enthusiasm about the positive impact the facility will have on their children’s education. “This new school is a blessing for our children. They no longer have to travel far to get an education, and that will certainly make a difference in their lives,” said one local resident.
