Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo Donates Incubator to St. Martin’s Catholic Hospital to Boost Newborn Care in Amansie South

Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo, the Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Manso Adubia Constituency, has made a significant donation to St. Martin’s Catholic Hospital in Agroyesum, Amansie South District, by providing an incubator to enhance neonatal care. The generous gesture addresses a critical need at the hospital, where a shortage of incubators had been contributing to the loss of newborn lives.

The donation was made after the hospital’s management raised concerns with the MP about the lack of proper equipment to care for premature and critically ill infants. The absence of an incubator had severely hindered the hospital’s ability to provide essential care for newborns in need of specialized attention.

During the handover ceremony, Hon. Frimpong Addo reiterated his dedication to improving healthcare services for his constituents, emphasizing that quality healthcare is a priority for him. “I am committed to improving healthcare in my constituency, and today’s donation is just one of the many steps we will take to ensure that our hospitals have the resources they need to save lives,” he stated.

He also assured the management of St. Martin’s Catholic Hospital that more support would follow, underlining his continuous commitment to healthcare development in the region. “The provision of essential medical equipment is key to the survival of newborns, and I will continue to work with stakeholders to ensure our hospitals are adequately equipped,” he added.

Sister Mary Assumpta Taabazuing, Nurse Manager at St. Martin’s Catholic Hospital, expressed her profound gratitude for the timely donation, recognizing its potential to save many lives. “On behalf of the entire hospital, we want to thank Hon. Yaw Frimpong Addo for this life-saving intervention. This incubator will make a tremendous difference in our ability to care for vulnerable newborns,” she said.

The chief of Manso Agroyesum, Nana Tabi Agyabeng II, also praised the MP for his relentless commitment to improving healthcare in the area. He acknowledged the continued support from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government and urged Ghanaians to vote for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and all NPP parliamentary candidates to ensure continued development in the country. “Hon. Frimpong Addo’s donation is a testament to the NPP government’s commitment to the welfare of the people. We are grateful for this support and urge everyone to vote for the NPP to continue the progress,” Nana Agyabeng II stated.

This donation comes at a time when healthcare infrastructure in many rural areas, including the Amansie South District, faces challenges. However, the MP’s intervention signals hope for improved healthcare delivery. The incubator is expected to significantly improve the hospital’s ability to handle neonatal cases, giving newborns in the district a better chance at survival and a healthy start to life.

Hon. Frimpong Addo’s support for St. Martin’s Catholic Hospital exemplifies his ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare access and quality in the region, and it serves as a reminder of the crucial role that political leadership plays in addressing the needs of local communities. Through such actions, he continues to make a positive impact on the lives of his constituents, ensuring that healthcare remains a top priority in his area.
