Mr Godwin Edudzi Tamakloe, the Director in charge of Legal Affairs for the opposition National Democratic Congress NDC has stressed that the upcoming general elections is about the painful economic hardship the Ghanaian electorate are going through other than anything.
According to him, to the lay man definition, the economy is your pocket and that nobody would compel anyone either to vote for for or against a political party.
Speaking to the media,he stated that the elections is about the suffering the Ghanaians are going through, adding that the citizens are going through a painful hardship because of H.E Akufo Addo and Bawumia’s government demonstrating purely incompetence in the management of the economy.
He indicated that today the rate of the dollar is at the roof top while prices of goods and services in the market keep rising especially in eve of the elections.
He expressed the view that Ghanaians are going into the elections to cut their vote massively for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the former President John Dramani Mahama based on their pockets and the cost of living.
He said the elections is a vote for change to the total transformation of the economy to create job for the teeming unemployed youth especially graduates the NPP government he said scarm with unsustainable NABco Training programme and promised with permanent jobs that could not happened.
He lamented that the rate of current unemployment is about 14% despite the government Planning for Food and Jobs and unavailable White colour jobs.
He disclosed that with the NDC policy for the apprenticeship Programme would absorb a lot of the youth unemployed from the streets and would also employ about Twenty-five thousand (25,000) into the security services.
