Christian Journalists Association President Unveils Three Pillars of Vision at Ashanti Regional Conference

The National President of the Christian Journalists Association (CJA), Mr. Armstrong Kusi Obuodum, widely known as Evangelist Obour, has outlined the association’s three core visions during its maiden Ashanti Regional conference held in Kumasi. The conference, attended by journalists, media professionals, and key stakeholders, served as a platform to highlight the unique mission of CJAG in using media to impact society positively.

Three Pillars of Vision

Addressing participants, Evangelist Obour emphasized that the Christian Journalists Association was built on three fundamental objectives that guide its operations:

1. Using Media to Save Souls for Christ
The association’s primary mission, Evangelist Obour explained, is to leverage media platforms to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and win souls into the kingdom of God. He noted that the media offers a powerful channel for sharing the message of salvation and transforming lives.

“Our foremost vision as Christian journalists is to use our platforms to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through this, we aim to bring hope, salvation, and spiritual growth to all who hear the word of God,” he stated.

2. Using Media to Support the Needy
Evangelist Obour also highlighted the association’s commitment to serving humanity by drawing attention to the needs of the vulnerable in society. He stressed the importance of using media advocacy to mobilize resources and support for individuals and communities in need.

“We are dedicated to using the media to advocate for and provide relief to the less privileged in our towns and communities. The media has the power to amplify their voices and bring about meaningful change,” he added.

3. Using Media to Foster National Development
The final pillar of CJAG’s vision is the association’s dedication to promoting national development. Evangelist Obour called on journalists to use their platforms to highlight development challenges and opportunities, focusing on critical sectors such as education, health, and infrastructure.

“As Christian journalists, we have a duty to contribute to the growth of our nation. By championing development-oriented stories and solutions, we can inspire progress and accountability,” he remarked.

A Call for Collaboration

Evangelist Obour urged all Christian journalists to embrace these core visions and work together to achieve the association’s objectives. He also called on churches, corporate organizations, and civil society groups to support CJAG’s mission, noting that partnerships are key to realizing these goals.

A New Era for Media and Faith

The conference concluded with a renewed commitment from attendees to uphold the values and vision of the Christian Journalists Association. Many participants praised Evangelist Obour for his inspirational leadership and the association’s unique approach to blending faith-based advocacy with societal development.

With its three-pillar vision of evangelism, humanitarianism, and national development, CJAG is set to make a lasting impact on Ghana’s media landscape and the broader community.
