In a remarkable show of generosity, Dr. Evans Kofi Kwafo, the Chief Executive Officer of EKK Charity Foundation, has once again demonstrated his commitment to supporting education in Ghana. Widely known as “EKK,” Dr. Kwafo, through his foundation, has donated items valued at millions of Ghana cedis to Chaboba Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Primary and Junior High School in the Sene West District of the Bono East Region. This benevolent gesture took place on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Chaboba, a farming community within the district.
The donation included 300 school bags, bags of cement, 1,500 exercise books, 1,300 blocks to initiate the construction of a new classroom block, and several boxes of pens and pencils, among other educational essentials. These items, according to Dr. Kwafo, are intended to help create a supportive learning environment for students in the community, motivating them to excel academically and to bring lasting improvements to the school infrastructure.
Presenting the items on behalf of Dr. Kwafo, Madam Mavis Nyantakyiwaa Agyei, Secretary of EKK Charity Foundation, explained that the donation forms part of the foundation’s continuous support programs aimed at addressing the pressing needs of Ghanaians, especially in rural communities. She emphasized that the foundation’s goal is not only to boost the school’s academic performance but also to foster sustainable development within the community. Additionally, Madam Agyei announced future plans for the school, pledging to provide marker boards, window installations, and additional classroom blocks as soon as possible.
The donation ceremony saw the attendance of community members, teachers, students, and district education officials. Mr. Samuel Anyobod3, the Circuit Supervisor for the Kyeamekrom area, received the items on behalf of the school. He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Kwafo for his overwhelming support, acknowledging the significance of the foundation’s donation in meeting the educational needs of the students. Mr. Anyobod3 assured the foundation that the donated items would be used appropriately to benefit the students and to enhance the school’s facilities.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Anyobod3 called upon the community to keep Dr. Kwafo in their prayers as he continues his philanthropic journey to support and uplift underserved communities. He expressed hope that EKK Charity Foundation’s interventions will inspire other organizations and individuals to make meaningful contributions towards improving education and infrastructure in rural Ghana.
