Ashanti Clergy Commends Education Minister Dr. Adutwum, Urges Continuation of NPP’s Education Reforms

In a gathering at the Power Chapel Worldwide Auditorium in Kwadaso, Ashanti Region, clergy members praised the Education Minister, Hon. Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, for his impactful contributions to Ghana’s educational landscape. The event served as an interactive platform where Dr. Adutwum outlined the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government’s achievements in the sector, focusing on the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, advancements in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, and the expansion of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

The clergy, recognizing the progress made under Dr. Adutwum’s leadership, expressed their support and urged Ghanaians to consider the importance of continuity in government to further expand these impactful educational programs. They noted that policies such as Free SHS have made it possible for children from all backgrounds to access secondary education, while STEM and TVET investments are equipping the youth with skills for the modern economy.

After the session, Dr. Adutwum expressed appreciation for the clergy’s encouragement and acknowledged their critical role in promoting education within their congregations. “Education is a national priority, and the progress we’re seeing today is the result of dedicated work to provide every Ghanaian child with equal opportunities,” he told the media.

The clergy members pledged their support for Dr. Adutwum’s vision, with many expressing their belief that a continued NPP administration would allow Ghana’s education system to grow even stronger, positively impacting communities across the nation. This engagement highlights the collaborative spirit between the Ministry of Education and religious leaders to champion accessible, quality education for all Ghanaians.
