The Women’s Ministry and members of the Church of Pentecost, Emmanuel Assembly in the Ahensan District of the Asokwa Area have extended their charitable reach by making a generous donation to the All Nations Charity Home in Ayigya, located within the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The donation, which took place recently, consisted of essential food items and sanitary products aimed at supporting the vulnerable children at the orphanage.
The items donated included several bags of rice, maize, plantain, cooking oil, tomatoes, noodles, and sanitary products, all aimed at easing the burden of feeding and caring for the children at the charity home. This act of kindness forms part of the church’s broader mission to support the needy and fulfill the biblical mandate of helping the vulnerable in society.
Speaking to the media after the presentation, the Women’s Ministry leader, Deaconess Mary Amoako, emphasized the importance of charitable acts in the Christian faith. She highlighted the need for Christians and individuals alike to always respond to the needs of vulnerable people in their communities. “As Christians, it is our duty to follow the teachings of Christ by lending a hand to those in need. There are many in our society who depend on such support, and it is our responsibility to show love and care in any way we can,” she said.
On his part, the Ahensan District Pastor of the Church, Pastor S. K. Asuo, echoed the sentiments of Deaconess Amoako, adding that such acts of benevolence contribute to shaping the future of society by ensuring that vulnerable children are not neglected. He further called on men, particularly fathers, to rise to their responsibilities in their families, stressing the need for a balanced upbringing of children in today’s society.
“Children are our future, and it is up to us, as men and heads of families, to ensure we provide the right guidance and support for them. It is not only the responsibility of mothers, but fathers must also play active roles in raising the next generation. If we all contribute positively to the upbringing of these children, the future of our communities will be bright,” Pastor Asuo noted.
The founder and leader of the All Nations Charity Home, Pastor Philip Kwasi Nyamekye, expressed profound gratitude to the Church of Pentecost for their timely support. He mentioned that donations such as these are critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the charity home. “We are very grateful to the Church of Pentecost, Emmanuel Assembly, for thinking of us and bringing these items to support the children. It is not easy to run a charity home, and we rely heavily on the generosity of individuals and organizations,” he said.
Pastor Nyamekye further appealed to other individuals, churches, and organizations to come to their aid. “We have many needs, and we cannot do it alone. We are appealing to everyone, particularly churches, NGOs, and corporate bodies, to consider supporting us in any way they can. Every bit of help goes a long way in sustaining these children.”
The All Nations Charity Home, located in Ayigya, has been a haven for many orphans and vulnerable children in the region. The home provides shelter, education, and emotional support to children who have been abandoned or come from impoverished backgrounds. The donation by the Church of Pentecost serves as a lifeline to the home as they continue their work in uplifting the lives of these vulnerable children.
The Church of Pentecost, Emmanuel Assembly, is known for its continuous efforts to reach out to the needy in society. Their donation to the charity home is part of the church’s broader agenda to fulfill its social responsibilities while preaching the gospel of Christ.
