In a significant gesture of goodwill and unity, the chief of Drobonso, Nana Dwamena Dankwah Dwubisiaw I, has led a delegation to present food items to the Kumawu Traditional Council in preparation for the final funeral rites of the late Barima Asumadu Sakyi II. The items donated include various foodstuffs, meats, coconuts, and other essentials, marking an important contribution toward the upcoming ceremonies scheduled from October 12th to 19th, 2024.
The donation was made possible through the combined efforts of the Sekyere Afram Plains District Assembly, Miro Afforestation Company, the Christian Council, and the Muslim communities within the district. Their support reflects the unity among diverse groups in honoring the late chief, who was revered as one of the long-serving paramount chiefs in the Ashanti Kingdom, reigning from 1973 until his passing in 2007.
