Dr. Albert Opoku, the Principal of Tepa Nursing and Midwifery Training College, is deeply mourning the passing of his uncle, Mr. Anthony Kwaku Opoku, who passed away at Asante Akyem Bompata in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The funeral rites for the late Mr. Anthony Kwaku Opoku, a revered elder in the community, were held over the weekend. Family, friends, and well-wishers traveled from near and far to pay their final respects to the man who had made a significant impact on the lives of many. Among the mourners was a delegation from Tepa Nursing and Midwifery Training College, where Dr. Opoku serves as principal. They attended the funeral to express their solidarity and support for their leader during his time of sorrow.
Dr. Albert Opoku, visibly moved by the occasion, spoke to the press about the deep bond he shared with his uncle. He described Mr. Opoku as a pillar in his life, noting how his uncle’s guidance and encouragement played a crucial role in his upbringing. “My uncle, Mr. Anthony Kwaku Opoku, was not only a family man but also a great mentor to many in the community. His guidance and encouragement shaped the lives of those around him, including myself. Losing him is a significant loss to our family,” Dr. Opoku said with deep emotion.
The delegation from the Tepa Nursing and Midwifery Training College, made up of both faculty and administrative staff, attended in large numbers to offer their condolences. Their presence at the funeral demonstrated the strong bond of respect and unity between Dr. Opoku and his colleagues.
