NDC Demands Retraction from NPP’s Frederick Frank Dankwah Over False Accusation

Abdul Mujeeb Abdul Rahmann, Communication Officer for the Old Tafo Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on Frederick Frank Dankwah, Deputy Secretary of the Old Tafo New Patriotic Party (NPP), to retract and apologize for false accusations directed at the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Lawyer Sahmudeen Mohammed Kamil.

Frank Dankwah, also known as Kwame Agenda, alleged that Kamil misled constituents in the Ahenbronum Electoral Area by falsely claiming that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP’s Flagbearer, had endorsed his candidacy based solely on their shared Muslim faith. According to Dankwah, Kamil purportedly suggested that his religious affiliation with Bawumia made him a more suitable candidate, thus encouraging voters to support him.

Rahmann has vehemently denied these allegations, labeling them as “unequivocally false and malicious.” He emphasized that the accusations are aimed at discrediting Kamil and misleading the electorate. The NDC has demanded that Dankwah issue a formal retraction and apology within one week. Rahmann warned that failure to comply would result in further actions to address the defamatory statements.
