Ghanaians National Alliance, in conjunction with Osagyefo Youth Movement Unification Council has called on all independent candidates from across the country to unite behind a single independent candidate for the upcoming elections.

Speaking during a press conference today, August 12, 2024 in Accra, the Spokesperson of the group, Akwa Obodai indicated that their goal is to provide a viable alternative to the traditional two-party system dominated by the NPP and NDC and to give the people of Ghana a fresh choice for leadership.

According to him, the high rate of poverty, corruption, infrastructure, and poor GDP of Ghana’s economy has led to the realization and formation of the group.

He stated that they believe that by coming together, we can build a stronger, more unified front that truly represents the voices and aspirations of all Ghanaians.

Mr. Obodai is thereby appealing to all independent candidates to join the fight for the elimination of the two dominant parties in Ghana, the NPP and the NDC

Mr. Obodai also emphasized that it is better to stand united in order to eliminate these two dominated parties- NPP and NDC because standing as a single independent party does not guarantee success in the upcoming 2024 elections.
