The State Housing Company (SHC) Limited, has handed over two Housing Units to the Ashanti Regional Police Service at the John Agyekum Kufour Estate in the Kwadaso Municipality of the Ashanti region to accommodate personnel.
Mr Kwabena Ampofo Appiah, the Managing Director of the State Housing Company at a short but colourful event on Friday, June 21 2024, explained that, the initiative is geared towards reducing accommodation burden on the police administration.
The gesture he further stated that it would encourage the police to execute their duties well, having a sound place to lay their heads.
Mr. Ampofo Appiah also disclosed that everyone was qualified to purchase a house units from the SHC with affordable price, be it an organization, Institution or an individual.
He disclosed that, there are Immigration officers, Doctors and Nurses occupying some of the houses and advice media to also follow.
According to him, the government through SHC is trying to make every effort they could to ensure that every Ghanaian citizen who wants to buy a house is provided with one of their choice to live with affordable price through the housing projects.
Mr Daniel Augustine Tawiah, Zonal Operations Manager for Ashanti, comprising the Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, Ahafo and Western North regions, who accompanied the Managing Director also inspected the ongoing housing project at South Suntreso.
The project at South Suntreso, he said has sixteen Units Housing with four bedrooms with a hall, toilet and bathroom each.
He disclosed that, the project is set to be completed in three months time to accommodate the owners by the end of this year.
ACP Frank Abrokwah, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander who received the keys of the housing unit on behalf of the Police Administration, commended SHC to the kind gesture.
He pledged that, the personnel who would occupy the facilities would ensure that, they keep it well through constant maintenance to last and serve the intended purpose.
