Nana Dr Okofrobour Obeng Nuakoh III, The Dunkwahene has urged H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to as a matter of urgency ascent his signature on the LGBTQ Bill passed by the Parliament of Ghana.
According to him, every country has their culture and values they cherished and for that matter Ghana as a sovereignt country frawn on the practice of the LGBTQ.
Nana Nuakoh made the call at Akwasidae at his palace, urging the president to consider ascent of his signature on the bill as urgency, saying even if the Western countries decided not to help us as a country, we can go for Ghana’s former President Acheampong Operation Feed Yourself policy.
He also appeal to Chief Justice appoint High court judge to the Dunkwa High Court in other not to be traveling all the way to Cape Coast seeking for justice.
Nana Obeng Nuakoh also lamented over the neglected developmental projects in the Dunkwa and the surrounding Communities and pleaded with the government through policy makers fast track the project which includes the Astro Turf park which under construction.
According to him, the area was a park was the Dunkwa park where the youth used to play football but was earmarked by the government to upgrade it to an Astro Turf yet the project had left rotten.
He also tasked the ministry of roads and highways to attend to the Office Bridge to avert any unforseen calamity to save lives.
DR Victor Gadri, Senior Presbyter of Presbyterian Church of Ghana victory congregation Dunkwa Compound, also advised the youth in society to thread cautiously towards the upcoming general elections in other not to fuel any Violence before, during and after the elections.
He tasked the youth to prioritize their lives and the peace and security of the country first, because a country can not development without a peaceful atmosphere.
He urged them to embrace violence free and fair elections and allow democracy to reign for the sake of the sustainable development and peace to make Ghana proud.
