The Municipal Chief Executive for Jaman South Andrews Bediako has hinted that they have one thousand dual desk available ready for distribution to some basic schools in the area.
Andrews Bediako whom many in the area say they have appreciated his works since he assumed office as the municipal chief executive is bent on furnishing basic schools in the area with good furniture. The Chief Executive Andrews Bediako made this known to Metro tv Bono Regional correspondent Ibrahim Abode.
The area was originally known as Jaman District on March 10, 1989, after been created from former Brekum-Jaman District within the then Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana. Later on, it was split off to create Jaman North District, thus the remaining part became Jaman District and got upgraded to a municipal status in November 2017 and renamed as Jaman South Municipal District.
The Municipality is located at Drobo in the Western Part of the Bono Region. It shares common borders with Brekum West District in the southeast, Jaman North District to the North, Dormaa Municipal to the South and La Côte d’Ivoire in the West.
