Manso Adubia MP Hon. Yaw Addo Frimpong Commends EC and Security Services for Smooth NPP Presidential Primary

The Member of Parliament for Manso Adubia, Hon. Yaw Addo Frimpong, has commended the Electoral Commission (EC) and the security services for the successful, peaceful, and transparent conduct of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Primary election in the constituency.

Hon. Yaw Addo Frimpong made the commendation after observing the voting process at the Adubia R/C United School Park, where a total of 770 delegates were expected to cast their ballots. He described the entire exercise as well-organised and orderly, noting that it reflected the Electoral Commission’s strong commitment to upholding democratic principles within the party’s internal electoral processes.

The MP praised the Electoral Commission officer in charge, Mr. Eric Anane, and his team for their professionalism, efficiency, and strict adherence to electoral guidelines. According to him, the clear arrangement of the polling centre and the effective verification of delegates ensured a smooth voting process without confusion or delays.

Hon. Yaw Addo Frimpong also lauded the security agencies deployed to the centre for maintaining a high level of security throughout the election. He stated that the visible presence and vigilance of the security personnel helped to maintain law and order, prevent disturbances, and instil confidence among delegates as they exercised their franchise.

Describing the election as peaceful and incident-free, the MP expressed optimism that such an orderly process would further strengthen unity within the NPP and deepen internal democracy ahead of future national elections. He urged party supporters and delegates to remain calm and respect the outcome of the primaries, stressing that peace and cohesion remain critical to the party’s overall success.

The NPP Presidential Primary in Manso Adubia forms part of a nationwide exercise to select the party’s flagbearer, with party leaders expressing confidence that the smooth conduct of the process across constituencies will enhance public trust in the party’s democratic credentials.
