68th Branch of Men’s Fellowship Inaugurated, Focus on Moral Leadership and Godly Living

The Kumasi North Diocesan Men’s Fellowship of the Methodist Church Ghana has inaugurated its 68th branch at Akropong in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region, with a renewed call on men to embrace moral discipline and godly living as a foundation for strong leadership.

The inauguration ceremony, attended by church members, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders, marked another milestone in the Diocese’s mission to unite men under one fellowship to strengthen their faith and sharpen their roles as leaders in their families, churches, and communities.

Delivering his address, the Chairman of the Kumasi North Diocesan Men’s Fellowship, Brother Thomas Adjei Soadwah, expressed concern over the high rate of crime in the country, which he said is largely committed by men. According to him, this unfortunate trend undermines men’s responsibility as heads of families and institutions, and must be addressed through faith and discipline.

“Men are expected to be role models and leaders. But sadly, many crimes in our society are committed by men. This calls for a change of heart. We must turn away from drugs, crime, and all forms of illicit activities, and instead follow Christ, whose teachings guide us to live in honesty, discipline, and love,” Brother Soadwah advised.

He emphasized that when men live positively and responsibly, they not only protect their families but also contribute to reducing the number of people sent to court and prison. He further noted that a Christ-centered life is essential for building communities where peace, trust, and progress prevail.

The inauguration of the Akropong branch is expected to provide a strong platform for men in the area to come together, support each other in their spiritual and personal growth, and play active roles in promoting unity and development in the church and society at large.

With this addition, the Kumasi North Diocese continues to expand its Men’s Fellowship network, inspiring men to uphold their faith, lead with integrity, and make meaningful contributions to national development.
