An argument between two football fanatics turned fatal after one was stabbed to death moments after the Manchester United vs Arsenal game.

Twenty-one-year-old Jackson Aineruhanga, an Arsenal fan, was allegedly stabbed to death by his friend in a culmination of their altercation after Arsenal’s 3:1 victory against Man-U.

In a report by the Daily Monitor, the duo’s argument started in a video hall as they watched the English Premier League match, and police said it started after Man-U’s goal was flagged for offside.

The two football diehards would continue to fight after they went to a bar on the fateful night and had to be ejected from the joint for causing a scene with their quarrel.

It was after they were ejected from the bar that the 22-year-old suspect ran after Jackson with a sharp object and ended his life before escaping.

“The suspect’s open shoes were recovered from the scene of crime and the victim’s body moved to the mortuary awaiting an autopsy,” Bushenyi police spokesperson Marcial Tumusime said as quoted by the Daily Monitor.
The suspect remains on the run.
