23-Year-Old Woman Allegedly Poisoned by Boyfriend Over 100 Cedis in Budumburam

A tragic incident has shaken the Budumburam community after a 23-year-old woman, Theresa Darkoah, allegedly lost her life at the hands of her boyfriend, Kofi Emma, also known as Blackee, over a disputed sum of 100 cedis.

According to reports, Kofi Emma had been providing financial support to Theresa in a bid to win her affection. However, sources indicate that Theresa allegedly took advantage of his generosity. Trouble arose when she requested 100 cedis to repair her electric fan. Kofi Emma promptly sent the money, but she reportedly ignored his subsequent calls.

Angered by her refusal to communicate and return the money, Kofi Emma allegedly threatened her with serious consequences. Authorities say he then purportedly took matters into his own hands by poisoning her medicine, which was reportedly delivered through a messenger.
Theresa’s condition quickly worsened, prompting her to be rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to the poison. Medical officials confirmed that toxic substances were found in her system, leading to her untimely death.

The accused, Kofi Emma, remains at large as the police have launched an active manhunt to apprehend him. A close friend of the deceased has recounted the tragic sequence of events to the media, shedding light on the heartbreaking circumstances surrounding her death.

Police in the Central Region are appealing to anyone with information about Kofi Emma’s whereabouts to come forward and assist with the investigation.
This tragic incident serves as a grim reminder of how minor disputes in relationships can escalate into fatal consequences.
