Community members of Pantoso in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality of the Western Region have retrieved one (1) lifeless body out of three (3) people who were reportedly drowned in the River Tano on Sunday, June 26.
The deceased who was retrieved among three other bodies was a 22-year-old John Comfete.
Skyy Power FM’s reporter Ebenezer Boafo indicated that 6 people initially plunged into the river but 3 out of them were skilled swimmers and they managed to swim to the banks leaving the 3 unskilled people to drown.
The name of the victims were given as Polo, Kwame and John Comfete.
The Chief of the community also stated that the victims are not natives of the Pantoso community but were there as a result of work.
